Chapter 7-8

Plot Summary:
Chapter 7 begins with Josie's Nonna talking to and explaining her life when she came to Australia from Italy. We hear that she really wanted to go to America, but her forced marriage husband made her go to Australia. When she go there, there was no one else that she knew. The cultures where completely different. She was alone for a long time by herself, not knowing what to do until her friends came over form Italy. This ends Chapter 7.
Starting off Chapter 8 is Carly. Carly is a part-time model, and her dad is a TV Presenter. She started to get into a fight with Josie, and ended up calling her a 'wog', which Josie replied calling her a 'racist pig'. Then Josie hit Carly over the head with her Science book. Next, in Sister Louise's Carly's Dad was there and wants to sue Josie. Carly says that Josie doesn't have a lawyer because she is poor, but josie says otherwise and calls Michael in. He actually comes in, leaving work from a meeting, and talks to Josie privately for a bit. After that he comes out and perswades Carly's dad to not sue htem and he agrees but doesn't say exactly, he implies it. Josie waslks out of school, suspended with Michael, and feels good about herself.
Challenges faced by the character(s)/information revealed about the character(s):
- A big challenge for Josie was listening to her Nonna talking about her life when she came to Australia
- Nonna found it challenging in Australia knowing nothing with no friends there to help her
- Josie faced her dad at school, and wanted him to help her

Personal Response:
To me, this chapter especially 8 has really started the book for me. A bit of action like that can never hurt. So this book is really starting to pick up for me. These personal responses might start to seem a little repetitive, but it is all i have to say for here :)
