Plot Summary:
To start off Chapter 5, Josie goes to the first school regional dance to bring the school community together. It included St Martha's, St Anthony's, Cook High and a Presbyterian co-ed private school. Josie gets asked to dance by Jacob Coote and one of his friends asked Josie's friend Anna to dance. After seven dances Josie excused herself and wen ot the ladies room. later before she needed ot get home before 12, Jacob asked to walk her home and she accepted. When tehy got outside, he grabbed some bike-helmets and Josie almost declined it, but she eventually accepted and just around hte corner they got off, walked the corner adn then Jacob drove away.
Chapter 6 starts off with a family barbeque at Nonna's house where Josie encountered Michael Andretti for the second time. Josie saw her mum and Michael walk into the saem room inside and she followed. Josie sat down outside the room and heard the whole conversation. She heard Michael say he doesn't want to see her, he just wants to forget about her. After the conversation had finished, they all went outside, but some tiem later Michael walked abck inside into Nonna's guest room, and Josie just followed him in. She talked to her, and he talked to him. They finished the conversation.
Later on that night after the barbeque, Josies mum sat down and had a talk to her about Michael. We heard all the feelings her mum had for Michael, and everything she wanted from him, which she didn't end up getting. Then she changed hte topic to pizza and the chapter ended.
